WHAT IS A PROTECTION ORDER?
According to R.A. 9262 or VAWC, this may be given to a woman or her child
who is experiencing a form of abuse and to put a stop to it.

Her children
Her grandchildren
Her grandparents
Her aunts and uncles
Her cousins
Her in-laws

WHO CAN APPLY FOR A PROTECTION ORDER?
Aside from the woman herself, the other people who can file for a protection order are:
DSWD social workers
Police officers
Barangay officials
Counselors
Lawyers
Therapists
Health care providers
Two (2) witnesses from
the same barangay
